MYRKUR

The Icelandic hypercar.
Production run: zero. Waiting list: open.

Act I · The Reveal

01 · The brief

Built for a country
with no speed limits on ideas.

Four motors, one battery shaped like a keel, and a single line of light where other cars keep their chrome. Everything else was deleted. Deleting things is the most expensive part of design; we have receipts.

1.9s0–100 km/h, weather permitting
1,190horsepower, all of them Icelandic
400+km/h where legal, i.e. nowhere

The night run.

Route 1, 03:14. Closed by weather. Opened by us.

Act II · The Night Run

02 · The editions

Two ways to own
a car that does not exist.

VEGUR

50,000

euro, hypothetically

  • The car, in matte obsidian
  • The light line, in cyan
  • Heated everything
  • A map of Route 1, annotated by hand

MYRKVI

100,000

euro, twice as hypothetically

  • Everything in VEGUR
  • The aurora calibration — the light line answers the sky
  • Track telemetry narrated in a calm voice
  • Your name, nowhere on the car. That is the luxury.

One line, drawn once.

The only decoration permitted on the entire vehicle.

001/ ---
Act III · The Line

Designed in darkness, because that is where Iceland keeps its best ideas.

The sky approves.

Final sign-off on every MYRKUR is performed outdoors, at night, by the weather.

Act IV · The Sky

03 · The invoice

Websites like this
cost $50,000 to $100,000.

That is the going agency rate for a launch film site: cinematography, a director, colour grading, a scroll engineer, and eleven meetings about the word “bespoke”. For transparency, here is the itemised bill this page would normally arrive with.

Cinematography — four continuous shots, night, closed road$48,000
Hero vehicle — concept build, does not exist$27,500
Typography, including restraint$11,000
The word “bespoke”, used once, invoice only$9,000
Scroll physics & frame calibration$4,400
Rounding, presented confidently$100
Total, industry standard$100,000

04 · Allocation

Production is strictly limited to the number of cars we have built, which is zero.
